Go Brewers!!

Spring is near and the Manne family is ready for Baseball Season! Taylor can't wait to take her soon-to-be baby brother to his first Brewers game. This week she named her brother Obama and Otis. We are still taking suggestions for baby names!

It's been awhile.

I apologize for not updating as much as I would like to. We've been without the Internet for awhile now....now that it's back I am recommited to posting more often. Steve and I had a date night awhile back which was a long time comming. He took me to the Milwauke Public Museum to see the Titanic exhibit, and afterwards we did the IMAX documentary Ghosts of the Abyss. It was pretty neat seeing some of the artifacts from the ship. When we got into the IMAX theater we quickly found out that it was family night at the museum where families bring all their children, their neighbor's children and any other random child off the street to camp out all night at the museum. Of course I'm kidding about the random children, but seriously you should have seen the kids pile into that place. Now this was my first IMAX experience. I really thought I would love it. I NEVER took into consideration my wonderful motion sickness. Right when we walked into the place my knees started to buckle. Naturally since this was a documentary of the Titanic the whole movie was shot on the rough waters. So I basically had to keep my eyes closed 70% of the time. But none-the-less it was a good experience. Taylor is getting excited about her baby brother. She renamed him from Pinkie Awesome to Obama. But she is quick to point out that it's not a brown baby but a white baby. We have another ultrasound on March 20th. I have placenta previa, so we'll possibly have a few more ultrasounds throughout the pregnancy. We're excited to get to see him again! Next test for me will be the gestational diabetes test. Not really looking forward to that one considering I already took a voluntary diabetes test about 2 months back. That was the hypocondriac comming out of me. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I dont have it this time around. Taylor has been pretty sassy lately, fighting off bedtime, hitting, talking back... all the stuff that a 2 1/2 year old daughter does. So we're trying to calmly deal with those battles as they arise. Thats it for now. It's past my bedtime.

I had to post this. Taylor NEVER, let me repeat, NEVER lets me put her hair up in a ponytail. Well, today she wanted one, and I have proof!

Drumroll Please.......

Much to my amazement ladies and gentlemen, we are indeed having a BOY! We had our ultrasound on Thursday and we brought Taylor. She was looking forward to seeing a picture of the baby all day long. Once the technician got some of the important pictures taken for her records she asks us if we would like to see what the baby is. My very sophisticated husband looks at the monitor and says, pretty loudly, "I see a wiener". We are very excited and I am still a bit stunned because I really thought it was going to be another girl. We are now taking any and all baby boy name suggestions. Feel free to submit.

Noah's 2nd Birthday

We just got back from a fun filled day at Noah's house where we celebrated his 2nd birthday!! We all had a lot of fun. It was entertaining to watch Noah open his presents and if Taylor got just a little too close to his new gift he would scream, "MINE". He even once whipped the wrapping paper that he just tore off his present into Taylor's face. They fight just like I imagine siblings at that age would. Beth made a wonderful John Deere cake and Brad detailed it with frosting making it look JUST like the real thing. I have since enlisted them to make all future birthday cakes for my children. Tomorrow we are having Noah over to the house to play while I go to a doctor's appointment. Taylor is highly looking forward to that! I'm just wondering how many fights I'm going to have to break up in the coarse of one day. Steve will be in California all this week, so Taylor and I have to think of some fun activities to do while he is gone. I hope to all of you who are reading that you have a wonderful week!

Taylor's New Room

Here are the long awaited pictures of Taylor's new room that we presented her with on Christmas morning. As she likes to call it, her 'second room'. She loves her pink room, but don't let that fool you. She also loves to play and watch all sports with her daddy. When she attends a sporting event with Steve she will talk about it for weeks. I've always said she'll be a girl who won't fuss when I make her wear a dress, but you better believe it's going to get dirty from playing outside with the boys.

That is her princess vanity in the background where she likes to keep all her tiaras and jewlery.
